Oh to be a bridesmaid!

Tomorrow I will be a bridesmaid, my third time and I have been looking forward to tomorrow, well obviously since my friend, Laura, announced her boyfriend, Adam, had proposed to her. It is doubly fun being friends of both the bride and groom and I have been friends with them since college. Laura met freshmen year living in the same dorm section and were roommates twice, sophomore and senior year.

 We celebrated birthdays together. 

 I guess we thought it was cool to wear the same shirts

 Laura and I traveled to Italy together in 2007 for a week.

We visited Rome, Florence and Venice and got caught in a major rainstorm/flooding while in Venice. We have quite the story to tell on that adventure.

Through her moving to San Diego then to New York to start her Masters program, we maintained our friendship. It was in New York too that she and Adam started dating and even when she returned to visit her family at Christmas time after she moved, I knew they were already dating without her telling me. A friend just knows :-) 

I knew Laura and Adam as being just friends to each other. Then at our wedding almost 4 years ago, I saw them interact as a couple and I could tell it was a great thing, a thing that would last forever. Laura was one of my bridesmaid and she went dress shopping with me and was with me when I found THE dress.

Last November Laura and I were out shopping, having some girl time and I casually brought up when was Adam gonna pop the question? Just a few days later, she FaceTimed me and on the screen when I answered was her left ring with a very sparkly new object on a certain finger!

Since then it has been fun being apart of the planning process, helping Laura as she needs it and continuing to see the couple grow from friends to boyfriend girlfriend to fiancees and tomorrow husband and wife!
