a SLO weekend...

This past weekend, Sean and I went up to San Luis Obispo to hang out with his best friend, Joey and his wife, Nicole before she gives birth next month. One last weekend with them sans babies!
I attended Nicole's baby shower back in June and it was good to see them both again.
Here we are back in June!

On our way up there on Friday, we saw Sean's parents then continued to San Luis Obispo and with the low 70 degree weather, I was in weather heaven. It was hard to believe it was the beginning of August where we were at.
Friday night was a low key dinner at an Italian restaurant. Saturday morning see my outfit, cool enough for double layers on top!

We started our day off with meeting another friend, Erika,  Kreuzberg, a coffee shop. 4 coffee drinks and a bacon cheddar scone later, we had thoroughly catch up on the latest life happenings with each other!

With Joey and Nicole, the first order of business was lunch to feed the growing babies. The plan after was to go to a u-pick farm at Avila Beach, but the farm was closed for the day so onto the beach and pier was in order.

On Sunday before returning to LA, we had to play a game of Five Crowns.

Julia Child and her years in France kept me entertained on the drive back along with a super large lemonade :-)
That was my weekend, how was yours?

Sounds like a great weekend! I love SLO. My husband went to college there, and I'll be out there visiting friends in just a month.

Props to you for being able to read in the car! I could never master that skill. Love SLO - I have not been in forever but one of our very good friends is from there!

Where do you live? You mentione places regularly all around my home town I.e. Fresno and SLO. My sister went to Cal Poly and several friends from high school. Our family has a beach house in Morro Bay so when we still lived in Cali we went regularly and now we go every time we go home to visit.

What a weekend!! I love that we have had some cooler weather as well, a nice peek into fall, right? The best part about your blog...the idea to make lemonade for the family tonight!! It sounds so good, I can't get it off my mind!

When we lived in Southern CA we visited my brother who (at the time) lived in SLO. Fun little and we used to go out of our way to attend the Thursday Farmer's Market:) Beautiful countryside!

Oh, I'm just so jealous you went to SLO!!! I'm dying to go up there so badly. Is that coffee shop downtown? I think we saw it last summer. So happy you had a wonderful trip!

That sounds like such a fab weekend! We had fun up here in Seattle... it was Seafair weekend and we had a little shindig at our new house with some friends. Although I did have to work on Sunday which wasn't ideal. I've been out of the blogging loop for a bit, but glad you're doing well!
