I'm back....

Although a bit tired, we got in at 1am this morning. I have mounds of laundry to go, grocery shopping to do and of course a vacation re-cap for you all. Sean and I are really glad to be back with our pups. I didn't really mention where we were heading but I will give you a bit of a teaser. These photos were only one location we visited on our five state journey.

Again, a huge thank you to all the great posters who helped me out while I was away. Can't wait to catch up with all of you and find out what is going o in your lives.

With the Moroccan trend taking the stands, it's no wonder that ornate and colorful housewares are in the spotlight. Happy Father's Day

This post is written to my dad. 

The first man in my life, the one who helped raised me together with my mom. The one who I remember would come join me for lunch in the cafeteria when I was in elementary school. The one who always provided for his family and made us a priority all the time. The one who insisted our high school education be beyond what the school required us and was the example that education doesn't stop with a college degree. The one who made exercise a part of his daily life and set a great example for us to follow.

My dad definitely gave me and my siblings a wonderful childhood and I couldn't be more thankful for the lessons he and my mom taught us growing up.
He is the first man to have loved me and I couldn't be more thankful to have been born his daughter.

Hi everyone! Kirby from The Short and the Sweet of It here. I'm so happy to be guest posting for Meg while she's enjoying her summer vacation! 

I'm anxiously awaiting an upcoming girls' trip to Miami this August, to celebrate my friend Michelle's bachelorette, so I thought I'd share what I'd love to be packing in my weekend bag later this summer.

It's going to be H-O-T in Miami in August, so we'll be spending the majority of our daylight hours in the pool. I spotted the mint green, Aztec print bikini on Pinterest and have to have it. Does anyone know who makes it? And if you're ever going to sport a spotted leopard bikini, Miami is the place to do it!

Since it's a quick trip, I'll try to pack items that can work with multiple outfits, like the black clutch. For night one, I'll pair a breezy black dress with neon heels and a statement necklace. For night two, I'll show off my new tan with a snakeskin print mini.
