chocolate X3

I don't know about you but for me a cookie has to include some sort of chocolate. I love chocolate chips in a cookie, especially straight out of the oven. That warm, gooey, chocolateyness just makes my mouth water. You know what makes chocolate chip cookies even better, three types of chocolate, regular chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips and mini M&Ms. Yuuuuuup!
These cookies have two unusual ingredients that I don't commonly use, cream of tartar and oat flour, just finely ground oatmeal. It isn't extra fancy just adds to the overall texture of the cookie and moistness. Maybe you are like me and dry cookies are just NOT your thing. Crunchy, crispy cookie, no thanks I'll pass.
Let's make these cookies!
Gather together all your ingredients: 3/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 6 tablespoons white sugar, 2 large eggs, 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons oat flour (grind oatmeal finely then measure out two tablespoons), 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, 1/2 cup mini M&Ms.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
In your mixing bowl, cream the butter, then add in both sugars and cream.

Crack one egg into the mixing bowl.

Separate the other egg, leaving the yolk in one cup and the egg white in another cup. Add the cream of tartar to the egg white and with a fork whip briskly until frothy. Add in the egg white into the cookie batter. You don't need the extra egg yolk.

Now you add in the dry ingredients, the flour, oat flour and baking soda.

Mix all the ingredients together. Lastly, add in the three chocolates and if you are feeling extra bad add in more chocolate, why, don't ask question, just do it!

Each cookie should be about 1/4 cup if you are really hungry, a little less if you aren't. You can press more chocolate chips or M&Ms into the dough if you want right before baking.
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Allow the cookies to "bake" a bit more by leaving them on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, about 4-5 minutes.
Remove from the cookie sheet then cool or not if you like gooey chocolate chip cookies. Have a tall glass of milk on hand by the way!
