sleep, sleep, sleep!

*I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.*

Sleep, sleep, sleep, what a sensitive subject for parents and babies too. Swaddle? Not swaddle? How do you take your baby out of the swaddle when they are ready? How do you keep them warm without tons of blankets? But blankets are a complete no with babies right? It is enough to make your head swim and that is on the subject of sleep alone! Living in California we don't get super cold nights but the temperature in the house without turning the heat on and can get low enough that has made me question how to keep Caleb warm besides his flannel pajamas.

I was recently contacted to review the Merino Kids of New Zealand Sleep Sack. These sleep sacks are made out of Merino wool.

With a few modern designs and nothing too cutesy, Merino Sleep sacks were my style. And until Caleb can dress himself, my style is his style, am I right moms? There are two sized sleep sacks, 0-2 years (babies) and 2-4 years (toddler). I selected the babies sack for Caleb. The sleep sack is definitely a quality made product, it is heavy but not too heavy but just right to keep your baby or toddler warm at night. It was very easy to put on, snaps on one shoulder, then do the zipper and the sleep sack is on. Fussing with too many snaps or zippers is the last thing as a mom I want to do but this Sleep Sack is so easy to put on.

One thing I really like about the sleep sack is the length of it, it is long so Caleb's legs can lay out completely. If you are wondering for reference, Caleb is 29 inches tall in these photos :-)

I have had to wash the sleep sack twice already and it did great in the wash, just make sure you don't put in the dryer. The shape held up well in the washing machine, it didn't shrink and the sturdyness of the fabric didn't shrink.
The first two nights I put Caleb in the sleep sack, he slept through the night, which hasn't happened in a long while. Coincidence? Maybe or maybe not. All I know is this sleep sack gives me as a mom a peace of mind that Caleb is staying warm through the night and peace of mind helps a mom sleep a bit easier, as least in between the feedings.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO CALEB SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! I know you're loving that. We were just talking yesterday about needing to get Beckett one of these. His new room is the coldest room in the house and most of his jammies are two-piece without feet. He plays with his socks, so those aren't an option.
