sometimes...

Sometimes you feel down for a reason you can't place your finger on.
Sometimes you need a bit of a break.
Sometimes just through a conversation, things seem brighter and better.

That has been me lately, just kind of a in a funk no particular reason and can't place my finger on why.
But things are better and thought there was no better thing to write about than feeling grateful.

I am feeling grateful for a relaxing Sunday, which started out with a morning run followed by a great church service. The afternoon was spent relaxing so Sean that meant football and me getting groceries for the week, baby and husband free. p.s. does anyone else's grocery bill sky rocket when your husband tags along? I appreciate the help when he comes but when the total is rung out, I look at him and say ouch as more than necessary just got withdrawn from our bank account.

I am feeling grateful to a wonderful God who is always FOR me who each Sunday I get to learn more about during the sermon. He is always available for me and never gets tired of hearing from whether I tell him about the good, the bad or just a thank you.

I'm grateful for this new day that allows me the opportunity to make new memories with Sean and Caleb.

p.s. a decision has been made in case in reference to last week's post, thank you all for your input and advice

What are you feeling grateful for today? If you have a grateful heart post you should link up with Emily on her blog, Ember Grey!

ugh- those funks are the worst. I hate not being able to pinpoint what the heck is wrong, and sometimes you really do just have to force yourself to think of the positives. Happy to hear you had a relaxing weekend though :) Sometimes a change of season is just what the soul needs.

YES to pretty much doubling the grocery bill when my husband tags along!! It's nice to have company but not worth it from the money aspect, haha. Hope you're feeling okay with your big decision, thinking of you!

I have quite an increase in my grocery bill when my 9 year old boy tags along for the trip. :) Glad to hear your drawing in to the blessings in your world....helps the heart so much. Have a happy week!

OH man, men at the grocery store totally means trouble. They don't realize how fast it all adds up until it's time to pay. Trey must stay home for this reason too ha. Glad you're feeling less funk-y. I think we all have our moments, but you're right in that it's good to count our blessings :)

I agree that it's important to focus on things we're grateful for during good times and bad. Thanks for the reminder!

glad that a decision has been made...a feeling of gratefulness can certainly help to overcome most any funk!

Interestingly enough, Hubby has started doing the weekly grocery shopping...as a former accountant he gets some sick pleasure from keeping things within budget! ha!

I totally know what you mean - sometimes there is just something that's off and then the next day or a few days later it's gone! So glad to hear you've made a decision to what was weighing on you!

Girl I totally know exactly what you mean. I've kinda been in a funk lately too and I don't know why. I didn't even do a single fashion post this week because I just wasn't feeling into it (and I had a wicked hangover on Sunday... I'm definitely getting old). I'm glad you're out of it and feeling better! What a great post! :)

Josh is not allowed to go to the store, lol. But he usually ends up being the one that makes a mid-week run for something last minute and picks up unnecessary stuff. What did you end up deciding?

Haha, oh my gosh, YES! He totally brings the grocery bill up so much! Just this morning I took him shopping and he was begging for every little thing (like cold cereal, seriously? I make the best breakfasts!)
I'm so glad you had a good day yesterday. Thank heavens for those peaceful moments that help keep us afloat while we are going through a trying time! xoxo

haha, opposite for me! When I go shopping alone I do all the splurge purchases, Chris is the adamant budget follower. So we go as a family most of the time. I just want some ice cream though!!
