Post-Thanksgiving Recap

Wow December 2 already, the last month of the year? What a year so far it has been already. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with family and friends. Anyone venture out to after Thanksgiving or Black Friday for some shopping?
My parents came to celebrate Thanksgiving with Sean and I. Between the hiking we did on Wednesday and our annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, I made sure to eat plenty on Thursday. The day after Thanksgiving means theMission Inn here in Riverside starts the Festival of Lights that runs through January 4. Every night, the Mission Inn is completely decorated in lights, figurines, huge and candelabras. The street next to the Mission Inn has food vendors from homemade gingerbread men, hot chocolate and roasted almonds. A small ice skating rink is constructed and horse drawn carriage rides are available all night long.
We checked out the Festival of Lights last night and considering we live about 5 miles away, Sean and I will be visiting a lot through the holiday season :-)

I want to announce the winner of the Cardstore Christmas card giveaway and it is Ashley, congrats!

Sounds like you had a fun, eventful holiday! We did venture out on Black Friday but we strolled in to the stores around 10:00 a.m. I didn't think there would be much left, but they restocked the shelves, had plenty of great sales, and it wasn't busy at all. I think I've discovered my new Black Friday tradition :)
