4th of July menu!

Are you hosting a 4th of July bbq tomorrow? Heading to a bbq and asked to bring something? Need ideas of want to provide your guests or bring to the party? Sean and I are just having a few couples over for 4th of July and I am sharing my menu today to help you out if you need some ideas!

Main course: hamburgers, it is 4th of July after all! I found this amazing sauce in a recipe book that is similar to In-n-Out's special sauce to top the burgers.

Sides: baked beans, my mom always made this recipe growing up and you can cook this recipe in the slow cooker. I love not heating up the house during the summer.

deviled eggs: my secret ingredient - hickory smoked salt, amazing stuff. I think deviled eggs are making a come back, two restaurants in Seattle had deviled eggs in their appetizer menu.

Chips and guacamole: except I cheat, I mash up avocados and pour a bit of salsa into the avocados, add some ground cumin, freshly squeezed lemon and a bit of salt.

Drinks: frozen strawberry lemonade and yes probably in mason jars with paper straws

The dessert, a fruit side dish and other BBQ fixings will be brought by the other couple because after all a BBQ is more fun when everyone pitches in.
Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July tomorrow all!

I still have no idea what we're doing tomorrow, and I can't say I mind much. We've been super busy, and I was sick for most of June, so I can't tell you how nice it sounds to just stay home. : ) But we'll definitely be BBQing...that's a must!

I thought those looked like In-N-Out burgers before I read through. Yummy! Good find.

Oh my gosh, YUM. My mouth literally just filled with saliva. We were in Idaho at our family lakehouse for the 4th and we also made gourmet burgers one night, they were a hit. Hope you had a safe and happy holiday!
