In a rut...

Ok a little honesty for you this Monday morning, I have not been very creative lately and thus the lack of posts as a late. Traveling recently too has taken a bit out of me and there is something else going on that I am not quite ready to announce yet. Any of you have ideas on how to get out of a blogging rut? I would prefer not to go to Pinterest to grab images and throw them up in a blog post and call it done if you know what I mean. I want real creativity, thought provoking posts. Anybody? Ideas? Thanks.
Speaking of Pinterest, I saw this yesterday and thought it was too cute and basically sums me up.

girl I'm totally with you...between being a good momma to Elyse and spending time with Hubby, I really don't feel like my life is all that exciting...or I'd rather just be outside playing with them!

When I am in a rut, I just search Pinterest for 'blog post ideas'. There are some great resources out there to spark up your imagination! And in reference to whatever it is you're not ready to announce, I hope everything is alright!

You're funny. "I would rather not to go on Pinterest and grab images and throw them up there." Oh, by the way, here's an image I found on Pinterest :) Ha! I know what you mean. I'm sure you saw some bloggers (me included) doing the "blog every day in may" challenge. There were some great prompts you could use for posts if you want. I found that there were some tough ones on there that got me thinking. http://storyofmylifetheblog.blogspot.com/2013/04/blog-every-day-in-may-challenge.html I will say that I REALLY appreciate that you want to get creative and not just put up fluff to write a post. That's one of the most annoying things about bloggers sometimes. I feel like: If you don't have something to actually say, don't blog random crap!

Hang in there. I feel like I'm always in a blog rut these days. Or I only post about my child. And I'm not a "mommy blogger" so who wants to read that? Sigh...

sorry I have no "new ideas" like maybe writing a posts about your dogs from the dogs point of view? that might be funny and you kind of do that on your IG pics :)
I haven't been able to write much in the last few months so I have some recaps and ideas (like I don't wear too much make up, but I do have some make up posts i want to do)
Maybe take a break and get ideas from the break? hahahha

I have these days a lot, especially since half of what I post on is our infertility issues. And honestly, who wants to read or talk about that all of the time? Not I! I'm trying to get down to the basics of things and look for things to be happy and appreciative about. I have a difficult time with that at times, so its a bit of a project for me!

that was me a few weeks ago ... i just felt blah when it came to my thoughts and blogs ... so i took a break. sometimes that is the only thing that would actually get you out of a rut.

i'm sorry you're in a rut! perhaps there are some blogging challenges out there that you can participate in? Maybe something like that will re-energize and spark some new creative ideas for you?

hope you find inspiration soon! I have been in a somewhat blog-rut the last few months... sometimes life is just busy and you only have time to live it and no time to blog about it.

What a great quote! I have been in a definite blogging rut lately, too, and can understand how you feel about not knowing what to write about and/or having the time and energy.

I wholeheartedly agree with that. Coffee make/break my mornings. If I don't have a cup, whoa watch out! Ha!

I've been there. Sometimes it's OK to just a take a few days off to think, live life, and be with Sean. :) It'll come back to you. It always does. I've recently found out that simply by taking your camera out and snapping pictures is a great way for inspiration. Switch it to manual mode and focus. Make your brain work a little harder to get the image just right. And even out-of-focus pictures turn out great too!

Hope that helps!

I have felt the same way before... and literally took a month hiatus to give me some time. Blogging is suppose to be fun (I have to remind myself that sometimes!) Don't let it be a stress in your life. You are so lovely and have a wonderful following here. Keep your chin up and smile. Xo
