Bike Riding + Friend + Beach = Perfection

Perfect is how I would describe my weekend, although I am already looking forward to the first weekend in May when track season is done and I can have my husband back on the weekends.
Sean and I met some friends for dinner on Friday night and there is nothing better than just laughing throughout the whole meal.
Does anyone else when meeting a friend or a couple friends at a restaurant sit down and just start talking? The waiter or waitress come by a few times and you realize you didn't even open the menu to pick an entree.
That kicked the weekend off great and Saturday my friend Laura and I headed down to the beach to do one of my all-time favorite activities, bike riding at Newport Beach. We rented the bikes for only $5 for an hour of riding!
The weather couldn't have been more perfect, there was no breeze, the temperatures weren't too hot as you can tell from my sweatshirt and the beach was just gorgeous.

There is just something about hanging out with a good friend and riding a bike at the beach.

Sunday was first a morning run then church and heard a great sermon. Sean had a coaching clinic in the afternoon so I tagged along. One of Sean's friend and his wife have been staying with us for a few days  and last night we went out to this Chinese dumpling place I have been dying to go. This place has 1,448 Yelp reviews so we had to check it out.
I also made cinnamon rolls for breakfast on the weekend and then found out they were in the Paleo diet, oops!

Anyone want to come over and help me polish these off?
What is the one word you would use to describe your weekend?

Those cinnamon rolls look great! My dad is a track starter and his whole life revolves around track around this time, Every weekend he's at some track meet. Last weekend was some big track meet in Arcadia...did your hubby go to that one?

Your cinnamon rolls look amazing - and that bike ride is definitely making me jealous! :) I love your shirt too - you look adorable!
My weekend was definitely relaxing - I did a lot of things for myself and accomplished a TON, but all at my own speed, which was a nice change!

I used to do that all the time when I lived in SoCal! I think we rode around Santa Monica or something, I can't remember exactly.

My weekend was fun and relaxing and filled with friends!

I totally understand what you mean when you say track has stolen your husband for the season! My boyfriend does track and being that we are in a LDR, it isn't easy at all to plan when we are seeing eachother next...but it fills me with joy that you went out and did your own thing which seems like it was AMAZING! Your sweatshirt is too cute and the color/style of bike is to die for!!! So preppy and springy -- I love! Sounds like such a solid weekend! :-)

I always do that when we go to a restaurant! We talk so much that when the server comes around we realize we haven't looked at the menu :) that's a sign of being with good company.

$5 for a bike ride! That's awesome!

I completely want to eat those buns! They look amazing. I'm coming over ;)

Sounds like a fun, yummy weekend. I haven't gone to the beach in ages and the last time I've gotten on a bicycle was when I was 12 years old. It's been so hot here lately that going out for a walk could lead to a heatstroke. boohoo... Oh and those cinnamon rolls look really really good! Please send some my way. hehehehe
