The best week of the year is upon us, Easter week. This week started with the people shouting Hosanna to Jesus as he was riding a donkey and just a few days later shouting crucify him.
In the few days leading up to Jesus's death on the cross followed by three days later with his rising and overcoming death, this week is the most important week of Jesus's entire ministry. Everything that Jesus did all lead up to this week and I could not be more joyful to remember, to recognize and to celebrate what a wonderful week this is but at the same time a sad because Jesus died an awful, gruesome death for something he was 100% innocent. I should be the one dying for the awful, evil person that I am but instead Jesus came to die in each and every one of our place.

For the next 7 days, I am reading an Easter-specific devotional on the Bible app on my phone. You are welcome to join me, the reading plan is called For the Joy Set Before Him: An Easter Devotional.

Today I am sharing an Easter centerpiece that I have been growing for a few weeks, yup growing as in grass.
I started with a wooden container, some dirt and two packets of grass that I picked up at Target for 99 cents each package.

Yes, I picked up cat grass because that was the only grass in seed form and I wasn't up for heading to Home Depot or Lowes. I started growing this centerpiece at the beginning of March in case you were wondering.
I found some ceramic eggs at Hobby Lobby, painted them a shade of Tiffany blue and used gold paint to design each of the eggs differently.

I waited a few weeks for the grass to grow, trimmed it until the blades were an even length and there you go, my Easter centerpiece!

Will you have an Easter centerpiece?

Oh my gosh what an adorable centerpiece. I just made a wreath and we aren't have anything too Easter-related at our apartment so that's about all the decorating I'll do.

That turned out so cute! We're doing Easter at my parents house (and Nick's parents are coming too) so I'll probably find some flowers to bring down to my mom. Happy Easter week to you too! :)

Your Easter centerpiece is adorable! I love how creative you are, girl. I'm not religious, but have parents who are Jewish and Christian, and can definitely appreciate all the history of religions that goes into this holiday season! Enjoy this wonderful time with your family and those closest to you, darling! xox

Adorable centerpiece! Usually I make something but this year we are spending Easter at my in-law's house, so I didn't. Maybe I can whip up something...but yours is perfect!

I love your blue eggs, and you've just reminded me I NEED to decorate, what am I waiting for? I usually do a tall jar filled with jelly beans and some wooden bunnies I've collected over the years.

Wow I am impressed that you thought of your centerpiece far enough in advance to grow it! Having fresh plants is such a nice touch, it looks great!
