29 Items of Thankfulness!

Here it is, day is my 29th birthday. I certainly don't feel it, and maybe sometimes I don't act it BUT I certainly hope I don't look 29 or even older. For the start of my last year of my 20s (big gulp!), I wanted  to share 29 thanks I am thankful for in my life, one for each year of my birth.

1. I'm thankful for a wonderful and loving God who knew me even before He created me Jeremiah 1:5
2. I'm thankful that Jesus is the risen Lord and Savior and because of his death, I was given the chance to have a personal relationship with God
3. I'm thankful for the awesome and handsome husband of mine - he is my partner in life and makes every day an adventure
4. I'm thankful for my sweet parents who have provided me so much in life
5. I'm thankful for my siblings, Erica and Ben, that make life richer
6. Of course, I'm thankful for my two sweet puppies, Kip and Kimbia, who make every day a lot more fun and interesting
7. I'm thankful to my wonderful cousin, Montana, who I have a super close relationship and who challenges me
8. I'm thankful for my extended family with whom I converse with on a regular basis, they love and support me every day
9. I'm thankful for my running partner of 1 year, it has been wonderful having a consistent exercise buddy and I'm thankful for our friendship which has been growing thanks to running
10. I'm thankful for the gift of exercise, and the chance to run each day
11. I'm thankful for the education I have been able to receive and the opportunities it has provided
12. I'm thankful for the food I am able to eat each day and not have to wonder when my next meal will be or where it will come from
13. I'm thankful for the wonderful friendships God has brought into my life especially through blogging  - Katie, Jamie and Kasey
14. I'm thankful for the childhood I had, growing up and moving around every three years, it was a little sad at times but it was exciting and as a result I can adapt quickly in a new environment and change is less scary
15. I'm thankful for the job I held for almost 7 years, just a week shy of it, and even though it ended recently and I am currently still looking for my new employment, I am still thankful.
16. I'm thankful for the friendships near and far. Far being scattered throughout the world due to going to high school in Tokyo. What an international community of friends I have never and far!
17. I'm thankful for coffee, plain and simple.
18. I'm thankful for the cooking and baking skills my mom taught me growing up, without it, I wouldn't be sharing as many delectable treats with you all
19. I'm thankful to be able to own a car, to have transportation whenever I need it
20. I'm thankful to Sean's parents for the way they raised him up, for the strong morals they taught him and for their love and support and accepting me into their family
21. I'm thankful for the Bible so I can learn more about God and what He asks of me
22. I'm thankful for the job interviews God has provided me in the recent months
23. I'm thankful for how God has protected and provided for me every day of my life
24. I'm thankful for opportunities I have been provided in my life
25. I haven't mentioned it yet on my bog, but I played the flute starting in 5th grade, music was a large part of my schooling and I loved playing it
26. I'm thankful for the traveling I have been in my life, Australia, throughout Asia, Europe and in the United States.
27. I'm thankful for freedoms we have in this country - the freedom to pray and worship in open spaces whenever I want
28. I'm thankful for the church that Sean and I attend, the messages we hear each week and the growth it is providing
29. Lastly, I'm thankful for each and everyone of you who come to my blog whenever you do and provide some joy to my daily life with your sweet comments.

p.s. happy birthday to my birthday twin, Alexa of The Short and Sweet Of It!

Happy Birthday my fellow capricorn ;) My 28th is coming up on the 17th and it sure feels strange to get so close to 30. I feel like I still have so much maturing/growing up to do. On the other hand it makes me realize that being 30 (or close) sure doesn't mean I'm old.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy 29th birthday! Wishing you many more blessings this year. It's so refreshing to see how appreciative and thankful you are because so many times, people our age get so depressed on birthdays. I love this post idea.

Thanks for your encouragement on my resolutions. I would definitely love some motivation and beginner tips on how you stay disciplined with running. Even though I used to run quite a bit, I feel like I am starting all over again.
