A Simple Date

*today is the last day to enter my Hat Attack giveaway and voting ends tomorrow for your chance to win a beautiful pair of boots, if you can for my outfit here please, thank you!

The best kind of date for me is a simple date with Sean. The kind where we both love the restaurant, love the food and of course love the company. When Sean leaves for a few days for a cross country meet, we plan a date the night before he leaves.
Last night we had one of those dates. We went to a great burger place, a place we visited on one of our first few dates and have gone back several times. We love this place because it is consistently good. Their menu is Belgian-inspired, pomme frites fried in duck fat, mussels, pretzels and they make three outstanding burgers. Sean and I have never ordered anything other than burgers and fries.
This was our dinner.

After some walking around the downtown area where this restaurant, Back Abbey, is located we stopped by for some Yogurtland.

And I always have a thing for yarn-wrapped letters...

It was a great yet simple date and sometimes those are the best kind!

The Back Abbey is one of mine and my hubby's fav places. I adore their pomme frites and their classic Back Abbey burger. Have you tried their pretzels? Pretty legit.

my hubs said he's always wanted to try fries fried in duck fat.. and I would be disgusted, but if you say it's good, maybe it's worth a try!

How fun!! Simple dates are necessary. If you try to go big on every date night, there won't be as many. We have date night every Thursday... and we normally go to Outback Steakhouse. We can't get enough of their Aussie fries.

Those burgers look super yummy!! Belgium is known for their "Mussels in Brussels." We were actually in Belgium last week. All of the restaurants had mussels, fries & mayo (we're not fans) and Belgian waffles. We were very, very thankful for the waffles. :)
