Running Motivation

The winner of the Sexy Modest Boutique was Shanna of Because Shanna Said So, congrats girl!
It is Friday, which means that I am t minus 2 days until my half marathon. All week long, I have been posting some running inspiration on my running partner's facebook wall. Why? To get us pumped, to get us excited and to acknowledge the work we have been putting into it thanks to my awesome husband who wrote up our training program!

I thought I would just share some of the inspiration I found via Pinterest.

I have talked a little bit about running and how I run at least 5 days a week, even when I was doing the training. I love running but I am not running 7 days a week type of I love running.
Yes I do get up every morning and run, at 6am sharp I am out the door for anywhere between a 4 to 7 mile run. So why do I run? I run because I started waking up earl with my dad senior year of high school to get some exercise.
I run because it helps relieve the stress from my job and mainly I run because it is for me, it is my me time and I hate sacrificing it for anything. I run because I enjoy the stillness and quiet of the morning before the world gets up, before the hustle and bustle start and when it is the right time of the year, I run to watch the sun rise.
That is why I run.

Ok this is soo not totally running related but which pair of shoes do you think goes better with this dress?
I realized I needed to clarifysince both are wedges, so I go with the sandal wedge or closed toe wedge?

Oh I loved running when I could. I've had sine knee injuries and really shouldn't anymore. Good luck! Even though I don't run I really like that sweater!

I definitely need this motivation right now! Ever since I've started working full time, I feel like the last thing I want to do when I get home is go on a run!

I love running too for 'me time'!! The thinking/zoning out time is so good for my soul. I just can't get up in the morning to do it. After work is the best time for me to decompress for the day and breathe fresh air. Love getting out of my cubicle (I really hate this thing!).
P.S. I like the wedges with that dress best.

Good luck for the half!! That's so exciting and I know you'll do great! I think it's fantastic why you run, I actually run for some of those same reasons. It just feels good. But I hope all goes well!! I believe in you girl! (I like the wedges!)

I was just thinking about you and your half marathon this weekend! You are going to do amazing and have been an inspiration to me while I trained for mine. Running is my time to just let it all out on the pavement, it brings me peace and calmness, and sets my whole day into motion. I hope that you feel confidant and amazing before hand and I'm so proud of you!!!

good luck girl! I so wish I enjoyed running...but I just don't!

I love both, but I think the wedges win out! and they'd be cute with so many other things as well!

Great inspiration! Oh, and I love the glossy close-toed wedges! :)

Thank you for the motivation. :)

I like both pairs of shoes. If you're looking to be more classic & dressy, I'd do the patent wedges. If you want to be more edgy and casual, I'd go for the sandals.

I really really wish that I liked to run. I really do but I just cant do it. I am super jealous of everyone who loves it. Good luck this weekend!

I love both shoes with that dress. I hunk your decision is dependent upon the occasion. If its more dressy than wear the closed toe wedges.

I've never been much of a runner but I've always admired people who are. Good luck this weekend!!

Good luck to you! I run to clear my head too...and I've just recently discovered that I enjoy running outside, not just on the treadmill at the gym. Something about outdoors...fresh air, mind clearing...it's good stuff. And the dog can go too! PLUS! Oh, sandal wedges, for sure! Have a great weekend!

love your running pinsperation! I used to run quite a bit, but I've got out of it because of some injuries etc. This is good motivation to start again!

i love that sweatshirt...also I think it depends on the event but that close toe looks more fitting but with bright jewelry that the other shoes would be great too

I think the closed toe wedges would be perfect!
And when you're running, do you get to listen to music? I've heard that some races allow it but others don't.
