Placecards and Turkey Cupcakes

Thanksgiving is almost here! I am totally behind on my shopping list for our meal, and eck come to mention it I have a general idea of what is being made. My mom and I discussed it last week but I need to officially write out our menu! I am looking forward to having my Mom and Dad in town to have Thanksgiving with Sean and I.
One thing I have always loved is place cards at a Thanksgiving table. I don't know why, I just think they are so cute and creative and even if I don't necessarily have a table decoration or centerpiece, I can at least have place cards. I found a few cute place cards that maybe I will attempt to make myself for next Thursday, even though there will only be four of us. (Shawna, you are still totally invited by the way whenever you read this post, my house has an always welcome policy for you!)
So for my Oh Pinteresting Wednesday I have a few place cards that would be quick, simple and easy to make for next week's Thanksgiving table!

Then I have a fun turkey cupcake that I made for treat tonight for my bible study.
Since we won't have having bible study next Wednesday, this is my Thanksgiving treat for them!
Check out these cuties!

Ok my favorites are the glitter pumpkin, the twig placecards and the turkey with the button. I bet those feathers could easily be made out of a paint samples you can pick up at the store.

And now for the turkey cupcake!

The cupcakes are so adorable. I am not having thanksgiving at my house, my mother in law is doing everything for it at her house. I feel like I should make something to bring to help her out - and those little place settings are so darn cute!!

So cute!! You could sell those! For my place settings, I'm going to use apples or pears with a tag with each person's name. Thank you Pinterest for the inspiration! Oh yeah - I'm not allowed to cook that day. My sole responsibility is the place settings.
