need help!

So apparently this weekend, which is a three day weekend for me thank goodness it is suppose to storm here in southern California, like majorly storm. It will be me and my pups, Sean will be away. I don't mind being held up in my house as long as I have plenty to do. That means movies and baking, so that is where you come in. Can you give me your movie suggestions and baking ideas? What do you want to see on my blog? Is there something special you want me to bake for you? Let me know, I would be happy to honor your request while it is storming like mad outside, I will be baking like mad inside with my pups to keep me company :-)

YUM! Sounds like an ideal weekend to me. :) Normally I am not a movie person, but there are actually several movies I want to see now, like Like Crazy, and also Crazy, Stupid Love or whatever that Ryan Gosling movie is. :)

As for baking, I make a mean sour cream apple pie. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be fantastic!

I'm going to recommend some classics because they're on my favorites list right now...

Breakfast at Tiffany's
Casablanca
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Rebecca (sooooooooooo good)
When Harry Met Sally

I have no suggestions for baking, really, unless you want to perfect a handmade pie crust for me this weekend? That's what I'm tackling for Thanksgiving this year!

Get some holiday movies to start getting in the mood! The Holiday and The Family Stone are two of my faves. :)

You are so funny! I wish we lived closer and I would totally watch movies and bake with you!! I have been looking up some ways to make holiday meals gf-friendly so that's what I'd like to bake!

Whenever I am home alone I like to do a lot of deep cleaning! I feel like I can keep it clean easier than when Rob's around too. :) I'd also watch a bunch of chick flicks--Gone with the Wind would be at the top of my list!

I can't wait to see what you bake and hear about your weekend! :)

Breakfast at Tiffany's! That is one of my all time favorite movies, and The Holiday! Pretty much any chick flick would be good! I have been really wanting to bake a carrot cake, or carrot cake cupcakes!

Movie: The Switch. Really stupid premise, but it was actually really funner and I love Jason Bateman. OR Bridesmaids if you haven't seen that, funniest movie in a long while.

Baking: how about some fresh ideas for Thanksgiving sides? I am in dire need of a candied yam recipe.

How fun! I'm planning a baking and craft day all day Friday while my husband works late. Lately I'm craving something with apples, maybe an apple crisp???

How to Steal a Million and Double Indemnity would be my suggestions. Have a fun time.

What a great way to spend time if you're forced to be indoors! I've been on a pie kick lately, I can't seem to get enough of pies!

I wish I loved to bake as much as you do Meg! :) While I don't know much about baking I do know a thing or two about movies! :) If you've seen The Young Victoria, you should. It is really good. Another good one is Country Strong. :)

Lucky! I wish I had a 3-day weekend! I still have to work on Friday :( My hubs will be out of town all next week too, so I know how ya feel! Baking and catching up on movies sounds like a great way to spend your weekend!

I was anticipating for the storm this weekend too, so I wasn't planning going out much either. I came across a recipe on a new blog for cake sandwiches. I actually have my first batch in the oven as we speak. You should try it over at (http://pursuingdreamsblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/perfectly-imperfect-chef.html)
