Monday morning craftiness...

Happy Monday morning all! I hope you had a great weekend, I certainly did. I saw Happy Feet 2 on Friday night, oh my gosh it is so cute. And I actually like this one better than the first one. Saturday I went with my wonderful friend, Shawna down to the Queen Bee craft fair and had a great time. Check out a few photos from the market. I was just amazed at the individual booths and the design and effort and energy put into each person's booth. They definitely all get an A for effort and excellence.

Do you recognize some of those shops and their corresponding blogs? Man, I would feel so fortunate if I could have  half of the success that the pleated poppy and allora handmade do.
I didn't buy a ton but I did buy some Christmas gifts for people, which I won't reveal here because they read my blog and then found out. Shawna and I shopped the rest of the day, went to Hobby Lobby and I bought a few items for the place cards I am making for Thursday. I do have one thing to say about Hobby Lobby, they do not sell a bag of pinecones. Not the cinnamon scented pinecones, just regular pinecones. So Hobby Lobby get those stat!
Yesterday was raining pretty much all day so we stayed in and went to church. We heard the pastor who married us give the sermon as our head pastor was away and I loved his sermon, he was preaching on time and what God says about it.

Back to the craftiness!
Ok I have been adding some projects to my living room recently and I apologize, I haven't posted these project under sooner. Other topics took priority here on the blog but they are up today for your viewing pleasure. My living room is farm chic, you know mason jars, twine wrapped wreaths and so to add to the decor, I redid a footstool I found at Goodwill with a burlap sack I bought on ebay for $2. I bought some extra material to make the footstool cushioning larger. I hope you enjoy!

I unscrewed the legs of the foot stool and polished them up a bit.

I bought some extra felt to provide some extra padding.

I laid the burlap sack across the felt then flipped the stool over and stapled the burlap sack to the bottom of the stool. You will have to use a heavy duty stapler for that.
Then I screwed the legs back on and viola, a burlap covered foot stool.
I have another project for you, lucky you :-)

I have been seeing those yarn wrapped letters so I purchased the supplies at Hobby Lobby. I bought three Hs because one was too thin for my taste, so I glued all three together and let it sit overnight so it was completed dried.

I picked out a reddish-orange yarn and started wrapped it in the center first.

Wrap it around and around...

Then I started on the other parts and just continued to wrap and wrap.
Here is the finished project and where I display it in the living room.

Lastly, the winner of the heart necklace from OliveYewJewels is... Lacee of Mommas like Me!! Congrats Lacee. I will contact both you and OliveYew Jewels.
