Inspiration + Pinterest = Pinspiration

Happy Monday! Hope you all had an excellent weekend. I will get to what I did later but wanted to provide you a bit of inspiration on this morning. Thursday night one of my friends, Laura, who I have mentioned before asked me to try and do her hair for a wedding she is in this upcoming weekend. So of course, where do we turn for inspiration? Pinterest! So here are photos of the inspiration and my recreation of the hairstyle. It was a fun evening to turn myself into a little hair dresser. First we set up our tools and station.

Option #1

Here are a few photos of our attempt.

Option #2

Our re-creation of this waterfall braid

We agreed that she is definitely going to rock the waterfall braid next Saturday.
Ok on to the weekend. Sean and I took Kip and Kimbia for a 6-mile hike and brought lunch to eat a picnic along the hike. Took a few fun photos as well.
These are a few views during our hike.

We had to take a few goofy photos of course, if you know my husband then these are a requirement.

Its lunch time!

These are our dogs on the way back from our hike, tired!

I apologize I don't have a lot of writing in this post, mainly photos.
Lastly, I want to call attention to my newest favorite necklace, that I won over at After Nine to Five. Nicole, of The Lovely Poppy blessed me with this lovely fuschia flower blossom necklace and can I say I love it!

Tomorrow I have another guest poster for my series, From My Hometown To Yours. Stay tuned and in the meantime, keep classy!

1. Will you come to my house and do my hair?!
2. LOVE that you could take your dogs hiking! Floyd would probably lay down and the trail and refuse to move. That or insist on smelling every piece of dirt we passed.

Great job on the waterfall braid - love it, but it's so tricky to do on oneself. I wish we were near mountains like that - a hike sounds wonderful. Looks like you had a lot of fun!!
