What I love about Fall...

I love going into this time of year called fall or autumn for many reasons. There are so many fun activities that I look forward to annually and helps me to get into the feeling of fall.
1. The first thing is apple picking, which my family and I would do every fall when I was younger. We would go apple picking, pick tons of apples, and we would buy some homemade pressed cider from the apple farm, and some doughnut holes for a treat when we got home. Then my mom would make a lot of applesauce using her crockpot, and it would always smell wonderful in the house. Last year, I continued this tradition with my Sean, and I can't wait to go back next month!

2. The second thing i love about fall is the changing colors of the leaves. There is a street near where I live and I love driving down that street, seeing all the different colors.

3. Another great thing I love about fall is pumpkins, whether it is going to a pumpkin patch, picking one out, coming home and carving it up. Or making one in a bread or a pie and the yummy smells that waft out of the kitchen. I love spreading cream cheese onto a piece of pumpkin bread. Here are a few photos of our trip to the pumpkin patch last year!

I want to use pumpkins to make this too!

4. Boots and Scarves, need I say more. Seriously, I love these fashion items the most and since we got married and I started wearing my boots, he started noticing them more. He would comment frequently man, girls certainly do love to wear boots. Good observation honey!
Have you seen this scarf at Anthropologie?

I'll be making my own version shortly and showing you how to do it and cheaper than Anthropologie although it was on sale recently for $20 but I will still beat that price!

5. The rodeo held in a local town. Each year of the first weekend in October, for two days, the rodeo is held locally. Seriously it is so much fun and I always look forward to going! Then at night, my friends and I hit up the local country western bar and dance hall, it is super packed with plenty of cowboys, we dance the night away and have a great time.
Our local hang out!

Happy Fall y'all!

I. Love. Fall.

I can't WAIT to go pick up apples! We had so much fun last year and it reminded me so much of being a little girl. And homemade applesauce kicks store applesauce's butt. Every time.

Looking forward to seeing your version of that scarf! Yay for making things more affordable!

Hope you have a wonderful Monday.

Wow! Those trees are gorgeous! We have a couple trees in our neighborhood that change color like that, but they usually turn really quick, then all the leaves fall off. It's still super pretty though!

I never thought about going apple picking! I might have to look into that. It seems like a great date idea! :)

Love this post! We used to visit the apple orchards on Sundays after church when I was growing up in NY. Love fresh cider! The leaves are already turning a bit here, I think due to the lack of rain we've had. I can't wait.

Autumn is my favourite. I can totally agree on the colours and the accessories, but I also love the unpredictability of it all. When you go out prepared for sun, and instead the heavens open up and pour with rain.
It makes me really think back to passing year, and makes me value what the year has given me. I don't quote know why, but I think autumn has a sense of ending and that really makes me hold on tighter to the things I never want to end.

Apple picking! So fun! I wish we could have gone apple picking at our fall festival this weekend, but at least we got to buy some of the yummy apples, apple cider, and apple fritters :)

Fall leaves and pumpkins are soooooo awesome :) :) And boots and scarves make me so happy! Great things you love about Fall for sure! This might be a stupid question, but does it get pretty chilly in CA where you are?

I have fond memories of picking apples with my family in upstate New York as a child. The place we went to always served fresh warm apple cider and plain cake donuts with cinnamon sugar sprinkled over them. Yummmmm. Thanks for bringing that memory back to me.

We go apple picking too, and reading this just makes me ache for my mothers homemade apple sauce and her homemade pumpkin cake! (which I will be sharing the recipe ASAP! I know you were interested before!). But I love the fall too. I'm a huge boots person, they're fantastic. That rodeo sounds like such a good time! I'm jealous! Happy Monday!

I love boots and leggings and apples and pumpkins! I am a summer girl, but am abnormally excited for fall this year! It could have something to do with the fact that I am obsessed with football...

Where do you go for apple picking?! And I'm excited for boots and scarves! I'm actually wearing them inclass because it's sooooo cold in the lecture rooms even though it's 85 outside during the day. I can't wait for when they will match the weather inside and out of the classroom.
