First vacation post - Ocean views!

Here we go, my first post about my vacation.
We took the red eye to Puerto Rico on Saturday night, enough said on red eyes. We were taken to the pier with the ship, 13 floors tall with a rock climbing wall and mini golf course on top, it was grand! That night we set sail for the island of St. Thomas. I woke up so excited to tour the island, I couldn't wait to get out there and my Sean wanted to keep sleeping, my excitement wouldn't allow him to continue sleeping ;-) We got off the boat and took a taxi ride to the downtown area with plenty of shops. With all the hills in this island I got some great ocean views.
Feast your eyes on the lovely views of each island in the order I visited them.

St. Thomas

That is our boat on the left

That evening we all got back on the boat and departed to St. Kitts. This was by far my favorite island, I will explain more later why it was my favorite, but briefly it was the friendliness of the people that contributed to it being my favorite.

St. Kitts

Beach with a bunch of bars and restaurants

Our cab driver took us to the top of this hill for the greatest views!

The Atlantic Ocean is on the left and the Caribbean Sea is on the right!

Gorgeous!
That night we set sail again but we didn't get to Aruba until Thursday, so Wednesday was an entire day at sea with plenty to do on the ship. Casinos, two pools, a movie theatre, this was not a dull ship. Then on Thursday we got to Aruba! Aruba was full of brightly colored buildings, but I will show you those later. The ocean in Aruba was so bright and blue!

Aruba

That night we headed over to Curacao, which was the most populated island of all the ones we visited minus Puerto Rico. I enjoyed this island the second most after St. Kitts and again it was because we received great advice and information from the locals. Seriously don't be afraid to ask them, they will share with you and tell you stuff guide books won't.

 Curacao

After Curacao, we had another full day at sea until our final port of call back in Puerto Rico. Hard to believe my vacation is over already, I sat at work today feeling like I never ever left, what a sad feeling :-(

Puerto Rico

I hope you enjoyed some of the photos, believe me there will be plenty more!
P.S. I am super excited today because this beautiful girl below in the photo is moving back near me today from New York. She was away studying Social Work at NYU and I can't be more thrilled she is returning to CA. We were roommates two years in college, she was one of my bridesmaids and she helped me out through a rough patch during my sophomore year in college and I will always be grateful for her! Welcome back to CA, Laura, glad to have you back :-)

I am so jealous! I went to St. Thomas when I was really little (aka 4), and I went to Puerto Rico a couple years ago, and I'm beyond jealous. Yes, I said that already. But I'm sitting here wishing I was going on vacay sometime soon.

Oooo St. Kitts looks gorgeous!! It reminds me of Hawaii, mostly Oahu and Diamond Head State Park that I went to a few years ago. And Aruba...WOW, those waters look divine! I think talking to the locals is the best thing to do, always find the best places that way. Aww good friends like that are so awesome, I'm glad you have your friend back close by you!
