What the heck do I do all day?

Some of you might wonder what the heck do I do staying at home with Caleb. Do I get bored? How do I fill up my hours taking care of Caleb?

I'll start off by saying that being a stay at home mom has always been my dream. I knew it was what I was meant to do when I had children. It has given me more joy and happiness than any other job I have held. I may wake up tired due to the couple times Caleb gets me up but I get to spend the day with my boy.
It is true what people say that the days seem long but the years short and while I definitely am not at the year point, I can say the months fly by.

Now that Caleb is sitting up although sometimes he looses his balance, and his fall is cushioned by the Boppy, we do a lot of playtime. Grabbing and reaching for toys are followed by putting everything (everything!) in his mouth.

I have a few scheduled events during the week that help. Every other week I go to my women's accountability and encouragement group, another name for a bible study. Every Thursday I meet with some other moms from my church at a local park and while it is hot outside, we have been meeting for baby story time at the local library.

We started going on long 5 mile walks on the days that I don't run.

The rest of the days are spending making sure Caleb can get his naps at home rather than on the go. Any errands we need to run get down and then Caleb and I sometimes meet up with my friends for coffee dates.

I am fortunate that Caleb is an easy going baby and goes with the flow, most of the time.
With it being summer right now, Sean has an easier work schedule but starting in two weeks, he will be up early for 6 am practice and won't be home from work until 6pm. However, we will see him for breakfast after practice and then he comes home for lunch.

That's our days. During nap time, I try to catch up on blog comment, write the next day's blog, clean, do housework, write emails to friends, etc. Some times, more likely than not I don't get my to do list accomplished because he wakes up but that means play times, smiles and giggles from Caleb begins again.

Moms, how do you spend your day if you stay at home with your children?
Happy Thursday friends!

Caleb is so sweet! And how cool are those books?! Babies can teeth on them? That's awesome.

What fun days you get to have! I hope when we have kids I can have at lease a couple days a week where I can stay home all day or even half days so I don't lose all that precious time, which goes by way too fast!

He is adorable! Those rolls...precious. You seem to have a great handle on things and balance. Loving those new books. So wish we had had them when our girls were little!!

Those books are awesome! I need to get some for Evelyn. The big two don't want her messing up their books. And her latest go to has been pulling magazines off the coffee table and trying to eat them!

Those rolls! I cant even deal! Adorable! Enjoy your time with him because they do grow up so fast! Also, I just wanted to add that I stayed home with my daughter for the first two years of her life and that job compared to working outside the home was WAY HARDER! I have so much respect for stay at home Moms!

Umm, where in there do you have time to clean anything? Lol. That's my hardest obstacle! Even when I was on maternity leave, I could never find the time. & I love his chunky little legs! SO CUTE!

I love the rolls, they are stinkin' cute! My daughter used to have them, but now that she's crawling like nothing else, she's starting to thin out...I want my baby back, hehe.

I miss those stay-at-home mama days. It's a lot of fun and a blessing to be at home with your kiddo. It's a major plus when you have easy going kiddos :)
