Four months into being Caleb's mother, I have definitely found some baby items that are most useful and some items that I probably could take back to the store and not miss it like the Boppy to be honest. I don't really like the Boppy because I feel it inhibits me from feeling closer to Caleb.
Anyways before I start going all sentimental on how much I love breastfeeding (eek! did I just say that) because I love the bond I have with my son as a result, let me talk about my favorite baby items.

While I do love breastfeeding, I didn't love how much I leaked like ALL THE TIME and would need to change my shirt a few times a day. I bought the washable pads because I thought it was more "green" and I didn't like the idea of waste in using the disposable ones. However, I would leak right through the washable pad, the bra and through my shirt. It was recommended to me by a friend (hi Amy!) to try the disposable ones and hello! I don't have to change my shirt after feeding Caleb. My favorite thing are the Lansinoh pads, highly recommend them!

Our latest "oh my gosh these are great moment" as parents is the sleep sack we have for Caleb and we love them so much I went out and purchased a few more today. We love them because we don't have to worry about a blanket and we don't have to worry about if Caleb is too hot in footed pjs. With summer here and the temperatures staying hot well into October, the sleep sacks are perfect for keeping Caleb warm but not too warm. He just sleeps in the sack with his diaper on.

We recently purchased Caleb's spacesaver high chair, which I preferred over a big and bulky high chair. Plus we can travel easier with this chair. It has been nice having this high chair so we can eat dinner as a family. Caleb sits in the high chair and watches us eat dinner. Before then it was switching off holding him while we eat dinner and eating dinner as a family is very important to me. My family did it growing up and it will be a high priority in my family.

Lastly, my diaper bag is a favorite of mine because of how much room there is, there are plenty of pockets plus the sides of the bag are very sturdy and it doesn't collapse. The bag cleans easy and I love how there are magnetic closures so I am not having to constantly zip and unzip the bag.

Ok there are a few of my must-haves as a new mom! Know of any current moms or soon-to-be moms, share this post with them. I'm definitely not experienced or anything, I know have one child but these are a few items that have made my life a bit easier.

Love those breast pads!! I don't mind my washable ones, but I only bought a set of 4!
I'm awaiting my space saving high chair, although mine came with a stand as well ! Hopefully I like it! If not I will return it! Which brand did you buy?
I need to transition Noah from swaddling to sleep sacks! He doesn't nap with it, but his arms see to be always moving in his sleep and it wakes him! I could probably tuck an arm in the sleep sack though and let him have one out to start getting used to it!

I feel like I wrote this post, lol. I have that diaper bag (in chevron), swear by the Lanisoh pads (the other ones wrinkle under my shirt and drive me nuts), and we also opted for the space saver chair.

Agree with all of these things. Well except the diaper bag cause I don't have that one :) My parents have that space saver high chair, we decided to go with a regualar one because we only have 4 chairs at our kitchen, so if we have another couple over we'd have to drag a chair from somewhere else...but love sleep sacks, you can't go wrong with them!

Don't get rid of that boppy yet! I didn't use mine until we reached that 6 month mark when Kiernan was much bigger and it was much more helpful :)
