a vacation to Naples...

Last week, Caleb and I headed to Naples, FL for a mini family reunion. No one in my family actually lives in Naples, my aunt and grandma rented a condo and asked everyone to come when they could. This trip was planned even before I was pregnant, that is how long this trip has been in the works. Once Caleb was born, I debated going back and forth about whether Sean and I could make the trip with a 6 week old. After talking to Katie and other friends, we decided to fly out there, however, ultimately we decided because of Sean's work and track schedule he would stay behind. My primary motivation for making the trip was I wanted Caleb to meet my grandma, his great-grandma who will be 89 in May along with my two aunts, my cousin, my sister, Caleb's aunt and of course seeing my mom, his grandma again.
On my checklist of what I wanted do besides having Caleb meet those family members while in Florida I wanted to go to the beach and eat a Cubano sandwich.
During the days Caleb and I were there, we took a nature boat cruise, did some shopping because it rained one day, went to an art show and a great farmers market. My family is a bunch of foodies so the meals were very thought out, anyone else have foodies in their family?
With the three-hour time change, Caleb being off of his sleep schedule, to be honest I am having a hard time remembering exactly what we did besides what I really wanted to do. It was great just seeing and hanging out with my family.
Just a few photos from our trip... and tomorrow I will be posting about how to travel with a 6 week old, although Caleb is now 7 weeks, why is the time going by so fast?

Awww, so glad that everything went well! What a fun family trip and I'm sure everyone getting to meet Caleb was fun for them too! I don't think I could have traveled on a plane with a 6 week old by myself, you are one brave mama!

Glad you survived! Actually, now that I think back those first three months is the perfect time to fly because they can sleep for hours!! That first pic of Caleb on the beach is priceless!

Looks and sounds like a fun-filled-family vacation...minus dad not being around. Caleb is soooooo stinking cute - a total California sunny boy! ;)
