Weekend Full of Dates...

This past weekend was Sean and I's last weekend during his cross country season commences. It starts this Friday, not the meets but the athletes have to report back and daily practices begin. I didn't just want to sit at home during our last weekend and now that the feeling of morning sickness has left although I am still a bit tired, I feel I am more free to go out and about. I knew that Sean had a more items on his plan for our anniversary last weekend but the pregnancy wasn't going to allow for it. I suggested he use one of the plans he had saved for this past weekend. So on Saturday, we headed over to Santa Monica to a magic show. You know a woman floating, man trying to escape locks as metal spikes could pierce his body if he doesn't get up fast enough type of magic show.

After our afternoon entertainment, we walked the Third Street Promenade for another type of entertainment, people watching.

Santa Monica is a unique place especially on a Sunday afternoon, break dancers on the street, people belting out their best while accompanied by a karaoke machine. It was a colorful afternoon for sure.

Sunday evening was our other date for the last concert in the park of the summer.
What is not to love about concerts in the park? They are free, you get out of the house and not spend money running the air conditioning and if you want to bring a picnic dinner that is the only money you truly have to spend on your date.
Last night's dinner was tacos and homemade guacamole with chips.

That was my weekend. How was yours?

Concert in the park was on my summer to-do list, and it was sadly not completed. Maybe next year!

Now I want chips and guac, thank you very much for that!

You both are adorable! It sounds like a lovely little weekend you had! I live close to Santa Monica and it's very interesting on the weekends (& weekdays depending on where you're going). Glad to hear the morning sickness has subsided and you were able to enjoy your weekend!
