how do i beautify my backyard?

If you look at my Pinterest boards, I have a board exclusively dedicated to projects using wooden pallets. That is how much I like wooden pallets and love creating projects with them. They are easy to obtain and I love turning them into another functional home decor item.
You might remember this wine rack Sean and I made together using a pallet. Today I have another project I turned into a pallet. Sean turned the pallet upright and nailed three boards so the dirt and flowers won't fall through. If you follow me on instagram, you show my project and I am sorry for those of you who already saw it yesterday, I am sharing it again today.

Here was the original pallet.
As I mentioned Sean nailed in some horizontal boards to create a bottom for the dirt and flowers. I will add that he nailed the bottoms for me on Sunday after he came home from a four day trip to Chicago. That is love I tell you, love he has for me.
After a quick trip to the garden store for some dirt and flowers and a pair of fashionable gardening gloves, I was ready to turn this palette into a flower box.

My finished flower planter pallet!
I have marigolds in the top, vincas in the middle and zinnias in the bottom. Now I sit back, and watch as they  make my summer more beautiful and colorful.

Such a cute project. We just bought a townhouse and the backyard needs a little something to spruce it up. I'll have to try this. :)
