Kip and Kimbia Obsessed

To say that Sean and I love our dogs is a bit of an understatement. They are more than pets, they are family and any pet owners I know would say the exact same. Both Kip and Kimbia have distinctive personalities, Kimbia is more of the jokester, playful type, while Kip is serious, intense and very focused.
With this whole unemployment status, my dogs are my current "co-workers" hanging out with me every day, listening to the jibber jabber that flows out of my mouth at times and they are my workout partners. Most mornings I take them on a 4.5 mile walk. You may think that is a lot but they are jack russells, they need lots and lots of exercise. The long walks definitely have an added benefit because it means they are a bit more tired, which allows me a few moments of peace to search for jobs and fill out numerous applications.
Between the hours of 10:30am and 1pm, they become sun babies, laying around, soaking up plenty of vitamin D. This is also after our walk so they are happy to lay down a bit and get the sun's rays.
Since I am a bit obsessed with my pups, I took a few photos of them last week while they were lounging around.

And when Kip is really tired, he lays down like this.

Unemployment and staying home is a bit more bearable (can I say dogable?) because of this two lovable creatures, and then once Sean comes home from work then it feels like a normal evening together as a family, whether employed or unemployed.

Want to see even more of our obsession? For this past Christmas, my brother and sister gave us these mugs. My brother drew the pictures of Kip and Kimbia and emailed them to a company that printed them into the mugs. Along with the mugs, Kip and Kimbia received homemade dog bones but the mugs were for us to drink from and we do each morning.

Your dogs are so cute! I'm sorry to hear you've become unemployed, times have been hard. I see you're doing 30 day 30 minutes of prayer. That is so cool, I definitely could talk less and pray more myself.

This is too cute! My dogs are definitely part of the family too :) 4.5 miles everyday is definitely a long walk! I'd love to take the dogs on a long walk but it's hard in the winter when it's so cold out.

Those pics of them looking out the window together are adorable! We just have a cat right now but she is definitely a member of our family! Honestly though I'm looking forward to having a dog someday when we have room because of all the walking it will force me to do! I envy your daily walks! :-)

So sweet. Dogs really are man (or should I say WOMANS!) Best friend. And I have a certain sweet spot for jack russells because my "family" dog and dog growing up is one. They just get better and better with age!

OK. I'm in love with your pups. And I so know what you mean! Our little Piri is a family member too - before my husband and I were married and we were living together, we used to say that Piri was our third roommate! I love JRTs. I follow some on Instagram as well and they put a smile on my face every day!!
