Best Way To See Snow...

... is to go snowshoeing.

After a week in Tucson then a few days in Big Bear, this week real life returns, or is it even considered real life when this is my first official week of unemployment? Never mind that!
I gave a sneak peek of Big Bear last week and back today to share a bit more of my trip. Sean and I went up with our friend, Nathan and his girlfriend Maribelle. Just a quick 1.5 hours and we were up in Big Bear, at over 7,000 feet. The weather was beautiful every day we were there and then yesterday morning before we left, it began snowing. For this girl who lived 6 years in Colorado and that was quite a few years ago, seeing snow fal never seizes to amaze me. There is a quietness that seems to come with the falling snow.
Thursday we ventured around the downtown area, that is all the photos from last week's post. Friday, Sean and I had a wedding to attend in the afternoon so we headed down the mountain for a few hours.

My handsome man and I.
I had fun wearing the black sparkle tights

Saturday for our last full day we went snowshoeing in the afternoon and it is by far the best way to experience nature and the snow. Another couple joined us for an afternoon of frolicking in the snow with our snowshoes (thank goodness they were advanced then the old school tennis racket-type)

 Big Bear Lake

 Time for a snack break!

The boys decided to throw snowballs at us

When in snow, make snow angels.

Sorry for the photo overload. Big Bear was beautiful and it was short and quick but great trip.

It looks so pretty there! Glad y'all had a great time! Would you recommend Big Bear for a honeymoon? My fiance and I are trying to decide what we want to do. I'm nervous about going to the Caribbean anywhere b/c of hurricane season in August. I've been thinking about somewhere in Colorado too. Where in CO did you live? :)
