What else do you do the day after Thanksgiving besides wine tasting?

So this post is about 3 weeks late, oops! So lets pretend it is just a few days after Thanksgiving and this post is coming up then rather than now when we are practically opening up Christmas on gifts and frosting Christmas cookies and drinking hot chocolate with homemade peppermint marshmallows.
The day after Thanksgiving, Sean and I took his parents down to Temecula to do some wine tasting. In Temecula, there are two many areas to do wine tasting, the major, crowded wineries with like 5 tasting rooms or the De Portola road that has smaller tasting rooms with more individualized attention. We go there. We tried a new winery Frangipani and then we went to our usual Robert Renzoni. Robert Renzoni not only has great wines, they also make an incredible marinara sauce. I crave that marinara sauce.
It was a beautiful day in Temecula, temps were low 80s, it was just perfect!

Perfect wedding venue all set up already!

Ok now back to Christmas and all the regularly scheduled post for this holiday especially my second annual Christmas cookie week here on henning love, 5 days, 5 different Christmas cookies! And all cookies were given out to different Christmas parties or to my church :-)

The ladies in my family and I have made it a tradition to go wine tasting the day after Thanksgiving as well. Love it!

Meg,

I love this post!! We were in Temecula around the same time!! We only live about 25 minutes away and go there all the time- our favorite wineries are Ponte, Wiens and Monte de Oro :-) I hope you had a happy Turkey day!!

So fun! I've always wanted to go wine tasting in Temecula... I've done San Yzez and Napa before, but have never made it down south :) This post makes me want to squeeze it into my next Cali trip though!

Ummm, I'm pretty sure it's a requirement to wine taste the day after Thanksgiving! Way better idea than fighting with dumb people at the malls!

Ooh, I haven’t been to these wineries yet. I love Temecula wine country and since my appreciation for wine has been growing I’ve been meaning to try new places. Looks like you had a great time!

Nothing wrong with taking an overdue look back at Thanksgiving time. ;)

Oh, I just love visiting wineries. We went to one here a little while ago and had a blast. It was so fun to taste multiple wines in a row and choose our favorites. We can't exactly open 10 bottles of wine at once at home.

Have a great weekend, Meg! :)

We should do this for our next hang out with Jamie and Katie.
Oh wait...Katie won't be able to drink for a few months. Dangit!
