Happy Monday dear friends! I hope this weekend treated you well. I am a happy camper because this weekend was finally feeling like fall here in CA. Colder weather, a bit of drizzle and a trip up to the mountains with much cooler temps helped. I mentioned that last weekend Sean and I would be having a date up to Mt. Baldy that included a ski lift and lunch at the top of the mountain. Well, our sweet puppies eyes guilted us into postponing the date to another weekend so we could spend some time at home with them. Yes, we are that type of dog owners.

Yesterday, Sean and I headed up to Mt. Baldy, which is about a 35 minute drive up to the ski lift from where we live. I wonder why we haven't spent more time up there when it is so close.
A roundtrip ski lift and $20 towards lunch was our date.
Our ride up which was very foggy.

And a few photos on the way down. The view was incredible even though there was a lot of clouds.
On our way back home, Sean stopped off at Panera Bread to finish our date with two cups of hot cocoa.
That was our Sunday date - my heart is happy and my quality time level with Sean is full.

Such a fun idea for a weekend date! For some reason I never knew that there were ski lifts going up to Mt. Baldy - will have to take Jurgen there next time we're in California :)

Mt. Baldy is so close! My friend came in from Australia, and my other friend (who is an avid hiker) asked her to go on a "small" hike. Next thing she knows, she's hiking to the top of Mt. Baldy! No ski lift for them! haha Looks like you guys had a wonderful day :-)

Ahh, Mt Baldy. The one time I went hiking there I ran into a huge snake and vowed never to go back. I have kept my 10-year-old-self promise! It is gorgeous, however.
