4-year Anniversary of Our First Date

Today marks 4 years since Sean and I had our first date. If you aren't familiar with our love story or know the details, we first met at church in June at a young adult service. Then we didn't see each other until September and after that, "hey, haven't we met before" meeting, I promptly went home and stalked him on Facebook. I have no shame in saying that since things obviously worked out... anyways  we started chatting on Facebook, sending messages back and forth and finally I asked him to take our multiple conversations off Facebook and in person. Yes, I asked him out for coffee, ladies.

I remember that week because I just started my Masters program, had my first class on Monday and second on Tuesday then date with Sean on Wednesday. And then I may or may not have scheduled a date with someone else on Thursday. Come to find out later, Sean did as well, we both went out with other people on Thursday night. Then Sean and I met up for a movie Friday night, he ran the Long Beach half marathon (which I am doing this Sunday!), he went out with the same chick from Thursday on Sunday and then stopped seeing her. 

Back to our first date, we met up for coffee at 7pm and then he texted me he was running behind because of some kitchen faucet issue. Once he got there, I know I ordered an ice tea, I can't remember what he ordered (he might remember) and we sat and chatted at the tables outside the coffee shop. We chatted about everything and before we knew it, the employees were coming outside to tell us they were closing it. It was 10pm already and it felt like minutes!

Now do you wanna see the not-so-awesome first photo of us taken together? It was at a wedding, a month after our first date and yes I felt the pressure of that situation.

Gosh, we look like babies and that was only 4 years ago.
