Another summer staple of mine is maxi dresses. I have noticed looking into my closet that I have always bought printed maxi dress, I don't have a single solid colored maxi dress that I own. Should I change that?
If I had to own just ONE solid-colored maxi dress in my closet, what color should I pick? Answer the comment section.
I love a good maxi dress for a few reasons:
1.It is lightweight
2.perfect for the summer heat.
3.you can wear it as a bathing suit cover-up
4. it is easy going and I don't have to add much else to my outfit

I love maxi's! I don't know what I do without them!!! They are on constant rotation for me in the summer. I love Gypsy05's solid organic maxi's. I get mine on the sample sites (they usually have a couple sales in the summer). Love all of your picks!
I have wanted to get a maxi dress since winter ended, but have yet to do it! I don't own one, but they are so pretty. I saw one at ann taylor that is BEAUTIFUL but no way am I spending $90 on it.
I love the red and white one you own. If you had to buy a solid color, I think coral would be really pretty!

I'm loving the 3rd maxi dress! I haven't found a maxi dress that I've really loved... Well I found one, but then realized that it was a maternity maxi dress (you would never know) and felt weird purchasing it :)
I want every.single.one on this post!! I have a navy blue maxi and a white for my solids. I think you can't go wrong with prints or solids!
I have several, but my solid black one is my favorite. I can make it look like a completely different outfit by swapping out accessories.

I love maxi dresses! I don't have it yet, but I ordered a solid black one. All of my other ones are colorful and I wanted something simple. I can't wait to get it in!

I love a good maxi. I wear them now more than ever that's for sure. I think navy is a good color. Can go from summer to fall. Looks great at 4th of July. Can be spiced up with white, coral, green, gold - really any color!

Love maxi dresses! I have a solid black one that is perfect because it can be dressed up or down depending on what I'm doing- so I say if you go solid go black!

I just got another maxi dress last weekend! Usually I cut off about 6" at the bottom & re hem it but they are so comfy.
I think it's hard to find a good solid maxi. The style can make you look like a big blob of color...
I think a solid black one might be nice to have if you wear maxis enough. I don't even own one though, they are so cute, but they are never long enough for my tall frame :(

I have two striped ones, but I think a simple black maxi dress would be lovely! Just add a chunky statement necklace and you're good to go :-)

I love the pink floral one with the best. As for a solid color, I would want something that really pops like a green. It would look stunning. You can't go wrong with black though.

I absolutely love maxi dresses! I used to think I couldn't pull them off, but now they are my go to in the summer when it's hot and I want to feel cute. For solid colors own turquoise and coral. I like them because I can wear different jewelry and shoes and change up the look. I think I want to get a black solid dress too.
I really like maxi dresses on other people.. but I have yet to find one that works for me. Because I'm so tall, I think they make me just look like a stick. haha. Maybe there is one out there somewhere that will work though!

Okay, how tall are you Meg? I am OBSESSED with maxi dresses but am only 5"2 and feel like they look ridiculous on me. I have been on a long journey to try to find one flattering for short peeps but have had no luck (the Olsen twins pull it off & they are petite too so I know there is hope out there somewhere!!)
I love the coral and blue one but they are all pretty. Hard to pick just one!
Can I add all of these to my closet? Especially #5.
