Today this iconic image, the cross, represents the place where Jesus died for all mankind thus shedding his innocent blood so we could be re-united with God, our Heavenly Father.
Today we celebrate the most selfless act ever done by any human and in three days, we celebrate that death had no power over Him.

Have a lovely Easter weekend Meg!
Nice reminder for the true celebration of Easter!
"Death had no power over Him" . . . Amen!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
Love this post. Have a wonderful Easter! xoxo, morgan
Thank you for the reminder. I have always appreciated Good Friday, because sometimes I think folks need to step back and look at exactly what He had to suffer ... so much is made of the victory over death, and that of course was the whole point ... but Good Friday is for thinking of His pain and the love that held him on the cross.
Hope you have a fabulous, blessed Easter friend!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... (NIV)
