Today is the launch of my new series, From My Hometown to Yours.

henning love

It allows you, my blogger friends, the opportunity to highlight where you live and show me around if I come to visit you. You can share what you would do, where you would take me, where we would go to eat, etc. To kick off this series, today the lovely Jessica from Birdie To Be is taking me around her corner of the world, northern California. If anyone if you are interested in participating in this series, please don't hesitate to contact me again, I would love to have you! Also just put the above button on your blog when it posts, I would appreciate that! So take it away Jessica!

Thank you for having me Meg! I am so excited to be a part of this series! And share a little of my world with you all! :)

I live in Northern California: an equal mix of San Francisco city craze, the other half wine country bliss. I didn't truly appreciate where I grew up until I went off to college in San Diego, GO AZTECS! And ended up staying in Southern California for 9 years!

I have been back for about a year and seeing as I recently bought a house here, I think I'll stay! ;) With that being said, we have a spare bedroom and you are welcome to visit anytime, Meg!

First, I would have to take you to the famous Healdsburg Downtown Bakery! It is a simple little bakery in the heart of the Healdsburg Square. But some of its accolades include: Patricia Unterman's Food Lover's Guide, The New York Times, Travelers magazine.

I would definitely have to take you wine tasting... that seems like a crowd fave for visitors.
Francis Ford Coppola seems like fabulous place to start:
Also known as the Godfather series director... has a fabulous winery!
You can actually make it an all day trip:
Lounging by the pools
Renting out one of their fabulous Cabines (pronounced “ka–beens”)

Once we were nice, tan... and 'wined' out, we could head south to San Francisco!

Mamacitas, although probably not the most renowned place in SF, is one of my favs!

And while we're in SF... I would most likely beg you to go to a Giants game too! :)
I love the Giants!

Thanks again, Meg! I had a great time putting this together!!!

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities in the US! I love the culture, the food, the views. My favorite touristy things were going to Alcatraz and biking to Saulsalito!
