From My Hometown to Yours - - Becky of Welcome to the Good Life

Today I have another wonderful blogger for the series, From My Hometown To Yours! Becky from Welcome to the Good Life will be showing you and me around her hometown of Columbus, OH.

Becky is so encouraging and I love her positivity in all of her posts.
Ladies, I am so blessed to have all of you write about your hometowns, teach me a bit more about this great country of ours and I am thrilled with how welcoming you all have been for each  of the guest posters.
Thank you again!! also, if you haven't yet enter my giveaway for the OliveYewJewels heart necklace. You don't wanna miss out on this one, it closes Friday! Also I am over at Stesha's blog, Classic and Bubbly for Bubble Tuesday!

Hello friends!  I'm Becky and I blog at Welcome to the Good Life.  I am thrilled to be guest blogging for Meg today.  She is just the very sweetest!  I look forward to reading her blog daily--she is so cute!  I am so excited to be sharing with you today about the town where I live--Columbus, OH.  I'm a native Kentuckian, but have lived in Columbus for the past couple of years.  Want to come visit?  Here's what we'd do!
First, we'd start out the day at my very favorite brunch spot, Surly Girl.  I'm a huge fan of their Sheriff Wrap--but their decor isn't too shabby either, is it? :)

After brunch, we'd work off some of those calories by shopping in the Short North!  I love the unique boutiques and one-of-a-kind stores this area has!  One of my favorite furniture consignment stores, ReVue, is in the Short North.  They price items differently the longer they have been there.  So, if you have your eye on something and are patient--it will be heavily discounted!  I love that!

After we're finished shopping around this area, we're going to head down to the North Market.    The North Market has so many fun stalls to check out!  They have great food vendors, as well as fresh food and produce.  Delicious!  We're going to eat a light lunch here--afterall, we just had a heavy brunch!

Before we leave the downtown area, let's have a quick stop into The Book Loft!  I loooove spending a Saturday afternoon here.  The Book Loft is 32 rooms that make up an independent bookstore in the heart of the German Village area of Columbus.  It's absolutely somewhere you can lose yourself!

On our way out of the German Village, we're going to stop at my very favorite ice cream shop, Jeni's!  Jeni's has tons of crazy flavor combinations!  My favorite summer flavor is Sweet Corn and Blackberry.  Yum!

After we've eaten as much as we possibly can and shopped until we've dropped, we can check out a Buckeye football or basketball game if they're in town!

After all of the fun we've had today, let's go back to my house!  I want you to meet my sweet husband Rob, as well as my goof troop of furbabies! :)

Thanks for playing along as we've gone on this fun tour of my new town!  And, thank you Meg for letting me brag on the fun city that Columbus is!  I hope you will all come visit! :)

Becky, I cant wait to meet your dogs, they are so precious! That sailor hat is darling on your larger pooch. Sweet corn and blackberry ice cream, that is a combination I gotta try just for the heck of it. Can't wait to come visit! xoxo, Meg
