Happy Monday morning all! I hope you had great weekends, spent time with your friends and family, and reflected on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks and remembered those who lost their lives due to the evil desires of those attackers. Yesterday, I had to attend a 9/11 event on behalf of work, and it was beautiful, the desire was simple to remember and never forget.
Friday evening, my Sean and I went out to dinner with some friends of ours and we always enjoy spending time with our friends. Saturday morning before I went to get my hair retouched, I did a simple dying project. I admit too that I bought this top from Fossil simply to change the color, crazy, maybe?
Here is the top before.
Here is the dye that I used, you can pick it up either at Michaels or even at grocery stores in the detergent aisle.
Fill up a large container of water, and heat it up.
When the water is heating up, you have to get 2 cups of that water and then add the packet of dye then add the colored water to the larger pot.
Then I put the entire top into the dye bath and let it soak for about 10 minutes. I wanted a goldenrod or mustard color but not a deep color, soak it for up to 30 minutes depending on how deep of color you desire.
Then I pulled the top out, placed it under warm running color then slowly turn it to cold water. I put the water running until the water ran clear, then hung it out to dry and viola, a new top!
Thank you for all your kind words about my Saturday post, I have gained new perspective from each of your wonderful comments, I appreciate you taking the time to show me care and concern and that is why I decided upon my blog title. I will look at last week's event through a new perspective, to be thankful for the new opportunity for my husband and learn how to support him in his new endeavors, because he deserves it, because he is my husband and because that is what love does!

Oh my gosh, I love! What a great idea! The shirt was adorable to begin with, but now it's totally your own and even better. Thanks for sharing, girl!
Love the new color! I would never have thought to do that.
Sorry I missed your post on Saturday. It is always scary treading into new waters, however, God has a plan for each of us and while we may not see it at first, He will eventually reveal it to us. Keep an open mind, and talk about your fears with your sweet hubby. I think you will find he is feeling the same way!
This is so cool!! I remember using RIT to ty-dye things when I was younger and never thought of using it now!! I think I may!

I liked the top before, but I love it now - so cute! I don't think it's crazy to buy something knowing you already want to change it.. Been there, done that :)
So cute!! I have a friend who uses RIT to dye her jeans darker when they start to fade out. I just remembered that--and I feel like I need to try it too! I love the yellow!! :)
