Today's post is dedicated to my dear and wonderful cousin , Montana, whose birthday is today.
She is 1.5 years and 4 days younger than me, but who is counting ;-)
First off, I said fraternal twin because our moms are identical twins, so growing up we were asked
frequently if we were fraternal twins.
Sadly no, but that bond has been forever created and it will never be broken.
She has always been there for me, helping me navigate the first year of marriage and encourage me through the tough times. She was there as my maid of honor and listening to my rants and raves about the stresses of planning a wedding. She is there to ride bikes at the beach, visit Santa Monica, check out cool and unique shops. She is just there, not out of obligation because we are family but because she cares,
she is considerate and she is loving.
I can't say enough wonderful things about my cousin. I am so lucky to have born into a family with a mother who is an identical twin so that strong bond was already formed years before I came along. I am lucky to have a cousin who I consider a true friend, and only wish I could be with her today celebrating
in true fraternal twin style!
First us when we were younger growing up in California.

Sorry for the white mark, the photo was stuck to the frame when I took it out |

You guys do look like you could be twins! My sister and I are five years apart but because I looked young for my age and she mature for hers, we got asked if we were twins a lot growing up. It used to drive me crazy :)
I always wished I was closer to my cousins - that is awesome that you guys are so close, like sisters really!
What a great post! Happy birthday to her :)
The two of you look way more alike than I do with my actual fraternal twin!
oh cute pictures! :) didn't you love having a cousin/friend growing up? It is the best.
That is so sweet!!! You guys are so beautiful, and you really do like like sisters! One of my cousins and I were always asked that growing up, I think because we were the only ones with brown hair :)
SO cute! I think this was a really nice birthday tribute! xoxo

You look so much alike! Both gorgeous! Happy birthday to her! Have a fabulous weekend ahead, Kellie xx
AWWW! Happy birthday to your cousin! You guys have a great bond. I had a following out with a cousin like that, for better (her health), but for worse (our closeness). Oh well, such is life.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You two do look like twins... both so beautiful! I have a cousin thats 11 days younger than me so growing up everyone thought we were twins! I'm sure the matching outfits didn't help either!
Such a beautiful post!! Thanks for your sweet comments over on my blog
Aw such a sweet post! I always wondered what it'd be like to have a sister or a cousin that I'm close to - none of my cousins are within a decade of my age! But that is so neat you two share such a special bond. Beautiful pictures!
