How make J-O-Y

*have you entered my giveaway for a date coupon book if you win you can receive it in time to give as a gift on Christmas!

Happy Monday!
Today, I am hosting a link-up along with Elizabeth Ann of Elizabeth Ann's Recipe Box, Allison of Cupcake Diaries and Whitney of Harvest Home to show off any Christmas decor, treats or whatever you have related to this great holiday season.
As I mentioned a few posts ago, I did a crafting afternoon with my friend, Laura, and it was a rainy Sunday afternoon, so a perfect excuse to stay indoors and craft.
I was standing in line at Michaels and just happened to look to my right and there was this wooden block that spelled joy. I had picked up washi tape for another project and thought I could use the washi tape for the JOY letters.
With a little red paint and some washi tape, I now have a Christmas decoration that I will look forward to putting up each season, remembering the crafting afternoon I had with a good friend. After all, isn't that what the holidays are about, memories, celebrating with each other and of course Jesus Christ and his birth.
I used a red paint I had stashed in my crafting drawer and the red was appropriately named, Santa Red.

I let the blocks dry and then laid the tape on the letters and cut off the extra tape.

I like the reindeer that are on the J and Y. They remind me of a fair isle print.
Thank you to everyone who links up with us today and next month the four of us will be hosting a healthy link-up!

Love that "joy" maybe a little too much because it just happens to be my name! =) If you look at our tree... we have about 90% of Joy ornaments on the tree! =)
