Baby Guide Gift

In a few weeks we will be celebrating Caleb's first Christmas and oh what a special time this is with a baby. I love discussing with Sean what traditions do we want to start with Caleb, do we want to tell him about Santa or will we teach him the REAL reason for the season starting now?
Anyways I pulled together a few gift ideas for babies from 9 months on up.
All of these gifts are under $30!

gifts for babyPicking out toys for this gift guide was harder than I thought I admit. I do have my son in mind of course for this gift guide and he will be opening up a few of these gifts on Christmas morning. I guess the reason this gift guide was harder to pull together was knowing if these toys would actually be played with or used. Only time will tell, right?

A shape sorting cube is perfect to help a baby learn their shapes, with bright colors this toy will encourage creative play and try, try, try again to get the right shape in the right hole.

Caleb is crawling all around and pulling himself up and standing up all.day.long. If we blink we might miss the time between now and when he is officially walking. To encourage walking, this Sit to Stand Learning Walker will be perfect. The front of this walker is interactive and help encourage learning as well.

What kid doesn't like six feet's length of a tunnel to crawl through?  It can provide plenty of hours of fun!

Want your kid to be a one man band or at least play one instrument? Start them early with this Band in a Box. Macaras, a triangle, a drum and a clapper will keep your child entertained for hours.

Being handy with tools is an important skill to learn so start them early with this Learning Workbench. Watch as your kid pounds the nails with the hammer, paints with the roller brush or drills!

Every Christmas my parents have given me a puzzle so why not continue that tradition with Caleb? It is never too early to teach him how to fit a cow piece into its proper spot on the board plus you teach them all the farm animals with this Farm Wooden Chunky Puzzle.

Just 22 more days until Christmas and 21 more shopping days, better get started!!

Puzzles are awesome. The girls actually had that same one and the instrument set :) I tried to stay away from Santa, but Mila wants to believe in him so I just play along.

Honestly, I can't believe he's almost a year old! Christmas is going to be so fun this year having a little one to watch experience it for the first time! Hope you post lots of photos of him. :)

I love Melissa and doug toys! My boys had that tool bench! Those tunnels are always so much fun, ours ripped after a while though! xo

Beckett loved the walker that Josh's mom had at her house. It was the girl version of that one. She also had an easel looking thing that had a big mirror on it and it sang songs - he loved that, too.

We always spend money and buy the brand new toys (like the Baby Einstein bouncer that was $100) and Beckett loves the secondhand stuff that his grandparents have (like the $25 exersaucer my parents have and the above toys that Josh's parents have). It makes me so hesitant to buy him anything!

We own 3 of these - the walker, blocks, and chunky puzzle are some of our faves!
