Good Friday

There is always a heaviness in the air today. There is always a feeling of sadness knowing that someone who didn't deserve to die, died today thousands of years ago. There is always a reality check for me knowing that the person who didn't deserve to die but did carried the heaviest burden anyone has ever had to carry.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He took up our pain, and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our inquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

The heaviness is tough, but it makes that empty tomb on Sunday that much more exciting. I can't wait for the trumpets and the Hallelujahs!

Absolutely love this...I saw a quote today that made a lot of sense... "good friday was the worst friday...until Sunday" :) and I love that.

It's so reassuring to know we will see Him again! He didn't deserve to die, but because He did we lived and we can love Him and share our love for Him :) Happy Easter, doll!
