Valentine's Day Friday's Favorites

Ok I have a secret I have to admit. Before I met Sean, I hated Valentine's Day, yes I was that angry single gal who wished that somehow Valentine's Day would disappear from the calendar each year. Also I swore that whenever I had a guy in my life, I wouldn't make a big deal about it. Well that lasted about 2 years into our relationship when Sean forgot Valentine's Day one year. I told him it wasn't a big deal but well in reality it was and he learned commercial holiday or not, girls do want it to be acknowledged. I don't like to go out for Valentine's Day, it is nicer just to stay at home, not deal with the crowds or the outrageous prices restaurant charge just because it is Valentine's Day.

So there is my secret, I actually do like Valentine's Day, but I like the sentimental aspect of it. I like the cute hearts, the flowers and of course the chocolate. It isn't Valentine's Day without chocolate. This year, I am thinking of making a chocolate souffle for Sean and I. I have never had a chocolate souffle but it always sounds super yummy so why not.
Here are just a few other Friday's Favorites Valentine's Day edition that I wanted to share with you all, whether you celebrate or not.

3. heart printed bowls
4. heart sweater
5. 3 piece cookie cutter set

I absolutely LOVE V-day decor!! However, I'm that totally weird girl that really doesn't care if we actually celebrate the holiday! : )

I love your choices!! :) I love Valentine's Day, I always have. Even when I was single and my friend's were all bitter, I pretended to be too, but really, I still loved Valentine's Day. :)

Not sure what we're doing yet.... I guess we will see...

Cute pics!! I posted a similar sweater from Forever 21 on my V-day post earlier this week. Luckily I work only a few blocks from F21, I'm totally going to go there on my lunch break today and try to find it. Gotta get my V-day outfit ready!! ;) Glad you love Valentine's day now.

I would love heart pasta. In fact, I could eat pasta everyday...so having a heart shaped one on Valentine's would be lovely!

That heart chalkboard garland is awesome! And I think you could re-use it, like for engagement parties and bridal showers and stuff? Cute.

ooh that sequin sweater gave me a project idea--I have a sequin top that does.not.fit.well.at.all, and I couldn't figure out a way to rescue it. Maybe I can cut a giant heart out of the fabric and sew it into something else? Love it.

And I'm SO like you; I didn't care ONE BIT about V-day (or our anniversary or my birthday, or whatever) until my husband forgot about it. Then, it was the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD, how could you possibly not know that?

Those bowls are dreamy.

I'm with you! I also used to hate it when I was single, but now I at least like to do something low-key and relatively inexpensive to acknowledge it.

Ooh love all these things! Yes, I'm not the biggest fan of the commercial side to Valentines, but I do enjoy all the things that go with it....like a romantic evening in, flowers and a card, doing something special for the one you love. I love love love that sweater, my best friend just wore it to my house! And I just received those same exact heart shaped cookie cutters from a Valentine Blogger Party! So much fun!!!

I think I have been single for almost every Valentine's Day (maybe 2 I wasn't?) and it never bothers me. I really like the decorations and I know that one day I will have someone to celebrate with :)

Love this! It reminded me of a time that I told a bf I wasn't keen on flowers because I thought that was the right thing to say. Well when I never received one flower I was left disappointed ha. He clearly should've read my mind a knew that flowers are welcomed and the route to go when in doubt...right!?
