{taking a day off from the How to Master Your Kitchen series, just for this Thursday though because it is Valentine's Day, but next week the series will resume}
It's the day of love, the day of boxed chocolate, the day of roses, cards and stuffed teddy bears. It is the day where we express our love to those closest to us in our life, whether a significant other, family or friends.
So how did I celebrate Valentine's Day for Sean and don't worry he doesn't usually read my posts so he won't see what he is getting anyways.
I started off his Valentine's morning with a scavenger hunt
to find a raspberry coffee cake for breakfast.
Sean loves the Entenmann's coffee cake and none of the local grocery stores carry it on their shelves. I even searched on Entenmann's own website, no store of a 20 mile radius carries this coffee cake anymore so I had to make it myself. He better like this coffee cake too because it was an 11 hour process, 11 hours!!
Along the way during the scavenger hunt, he found one of three cards he will get today.
A wife has to toot her own horn sometimes, right?
For lunch today, he gets one of his favorite drinks, a Japanese drink called ramune and I threw in a Trader Joes chocolate bar for a bit of sweetness because after all Valentine's Day does call for chocolate somewhere in the day. Additionally, he will get another card at lunch card.
Am I going overboard with the cards? No, because Cost Plus had awesome Valentine's Day cards this week and I liked all three of them equally and don't decide upon just one.
Tonight, I'm not sure what is planned, Sean is on top of that one. Will it be dinner at home or dinner out somewhere? Are we crazy to even consider eating out tonight? Whatever we are doing, I plan on wearing this outfit.

Just so you know.... I'm a card freak and my Mr is getting 3 cards today, too. We got one this morning, he'll get one at lunch and then there is one waiting on him when he walks through the door. This is our first as husband and wife, so I'm making it pretty special. He's already gotten his gift, but I plan on making the rest of the day equally as fun!! And that coffee cake looks SOOOOOOOOO good!!
How cute! I haven't done anything for KB yet...whoops!
Wow, what a cute/great idea! You do love your man! That coffee cake looks great, I assume we'll be getting a full review later? Happy Valentine's Day! That outfit is super cute too, perfect for whatever you're doing tonight.
OMG that coffee cake looks AMAZING! How couldn't he love it!

Ahh, Meg! You're the cutest. We don't usually eat out on V-Day, because its mostly fixed price menus around here. And in the past, we both were severs at restaurants, so we never really got to be together Valentine's Day night.
You are such a good wifey!
That is such a sweet and thoughtful idea to do a scavenger hunt! I bet Sean loved it!
