A Year at a Glance...

Normally, this time of the year, I don't necessarily look back and reflect on everything that happened, I am more likely to look forward to the next year and what I hope/aim to accomplish. Heck, I am already getting started on cleaning around the house, did a major cleaning of the refrigerator, organized my closet and will be donating some clothes I haven't worn in a bit. I like the general rule that if you haven't worn it within a year, donate it! I like to start 2013 with less clutter and more cleanliness. Plus, Sean and I will be up in Big Bear next week for a few days with some friends!

Here is just a quick re-cap of my life during 2012.
I turned 28 and Sean and I celebrated with some outdoor ice-skating

Went to a massive (60+) blogger meet-up in San Diego and met some of the nicest ladies ever.
Found out that I would be loosing my job at the end of the year

I participated in a beach clean-up hosted by Ashley of the Shine Project and got to meet the wonderful and lovely Stesha.
I made some ah-mazing nutella rice krispies

Sean and I ran the Color Run along with some other great bloggers
Sean was quite the handy man when he turned a pallet into a wine rack

I ran a new PR during the Pasadena half marathon and grateful to have gotten the chance to have a running partner.
Saw my all-time favorite country band, Sugarland, in concert.

Sean and I traveled to the East Coast to see family members  and friends and took a quick detour to our nation's capital.

We celebrated two years of marriage.
I spent an afternoon with these lovely Christ-centered ladies and so grateful for their friendship. Katie, your due date is today and I am so excited for you and Zach!

I spent a week in Tucson, just me and my parents.
I shared some embarrassing baby photos of myself.

I was a master baker and made Sean a peanut butter chocolate pie for his birthday
Sean and I took our annual trip to the L.A. County fair

I took a weekend trip up to visit my cousin in San Jose
I participated in a boot styling contest
My running partner and I ran our second half marathon of 2012

Sean's parents came down to have Thanksgiving with us
Our plain white dining room curtains became striped with a little bit lots of paint

Sean, Kip, Kimbia and I went to Tucson for Christmas and spent it with my family
I had my second annual Christmas cookie week here on the blog - 5 days, 5 different cookies.

So after completing this year in review, I think my opinion has changed. It is a great thing to look back on the past year, to be thankful and grateful for the places Sean and I got to travel to, the wonderful people I have met and the friends and family that make my life rich.

I hope 2012 was a wonderful year for all of you and that 2013 will be even more fruitful. Who knows what God has in store for me for 2013, I am praying it is a job soon but I know this He will provide, and I am excited to see where He will lead me in the next year.
