Here is another installment of simple life happenings. Snapshots of the things that my life has been about, the basics, the day in and day out workings of my life. Here is a sneak peek!

* painted grey stripes on my white curtains - instant upgrade!
*wonderful and encouraging friends met through blogging
*homemade apple sauce - not sure what to do with lots of apples, make sauce!

*political nerd alert! - yes I read political books for fun
*slow cooker potato cheese soup in a breadbowl - doesn't get better than that!
*awesome new cook book - I'm in love with my slow cooker and this book, see photo on left for proof

*I broke down and bought my first carton of eggnog ice cream and the drink - obsession is more like it!
*polka pants from LOFT for $15, finally found my perfect pair of polka dot pants
*Essie ballet slippers - classic nail polish color

*belt on, belt off?

Two things... 1 - I NEED that potato soup slow cooker recipe 2 - I like it with the belt off. But hey, that's just my little opinion here! =) Happy Weekend!

I love americas test kitchen!!!! Plus slow cookers are the best =) Congratulations on winning the boots btw!!!!! So happy you won! I think I like the dress better with the belt off. If you were to do a little belt, I think a little thin gold one would be cute =) I used to work at J.Crew so I like putting outfits together. Happy weekend!!!

Yay for DIY curtians!! I bet they look fabulous. I have some curtains I want to jazz up too... maybe stripes will do the trick. :)

Homemade apple sauce sounds so good. I always buy apple sauce at the store, but I bet homemade tastes so much better.
