The first time I met Sean's parents up in their hometown, it also happened to be his mother's birthday we arrived and the next day was my birthday in January. Then the following day was the first game of the post-game football season and that is when I learned what I would be marrying into a Chargers loving family, like big, life-long, never miss a game type of family. Since then I have obviously accepted it, actually bought my husband tickets for a game, which I went to with him and look forward to each weekend when the Chargers are playing. The first birthday of his when we were engaged, which is next Friday the game, I made him a birthday cake with the Chargers lightening bolt symbol on it in the Chargers colors.
Wait til next week to see what Chargers-theme birthday treats I have planned for him!
I loved Alison's idea of a football team themed Friday Fancies, how fun! She was kind enough to make my banner into Chargers colors, did anyone else ask her to do that?
Can't wait to see what everyone came up with this week! Wish you a great weekend, my Sean and I went to the LA County Fair last night and I will be doing a recap of that adventure because it meant the fair, time with my husband and Dr. Bob's ice cream, stay tuned!
Oh and here is proof of the Chargers game we went to!
True story about this game, we didn't park in the stadium parking which was $25, and we thought we were being smart by parking in a huge shopping center. Little did we know that they had a system going on. They would watch us as we would park and walk over to the game then tow our car away. When we got back to the parking lot after the game ended, no car! Of course there were plenty of taxis waiting, how convenient! We had to pay for that ride, then pay over $300 to get our car out, moral of the story, regardless of how much stadium parking is, do it! The alternative can be very costly :-)

so fun! i'm so excited it's football season!
you are adorable! and I love that outfit!!
How fun! I did not marry into a family who are sports fans. You see, my Hubby is a bit of a nerd...meaning he reads for FUN! What? Anyways, I love the adorable dress and those heals are too cute! If Hubs was a sports fan, I would only watch for a brief time and cheer for which ever team had the better costumes. It's all about the color scheme right? ;)
WAhooo!! A fellow Chargers fan!! Love you Meg you guys are the cutest!
okay if you wear that outfit to a chargers game you will be a piece of meat for the men!! :-) HOT outfit!
I love football! I don't really have a favorite team though. I just enjoy watching it with my bf... and all of his excitement! Haha! He gets really into the games sometimes! It's pretty entertaining! :)
what a sassy little dress!! hope you have a great weekend meg :)
Love the outfit! I'm a Browns fan for life :) Brown and orange wooo!!! ;)
Wow, that's ridiculous about the car being towed! I bet the shopping center really doesn't like people parking there though, but what a mean thing for them to do! When I go to baseball or football games, we usually take the Rapid (like the metro/subway/etc.) which is easier, but my brother and I took it one night this year to a baseball game when there was a rain delay and too many extra innings and the train wasn't leaving til the game was over and everyone was on since it was the last one...so we got off and my dad came to pick us up lol. Public transportation has it's ups and downs!
Dr. Bob's ice cream. It has to be good for you right...it came from a doctor! har har...okay we love ice cream in our house. Can't wait to hear about it!
Love your chic game day look :) And that's horrible about the parking incident, but that doesn't really surprise me - at all.
love your festive outfit!
That parking incident sounds terrible. We are big Portland Trailblazers fans. When we go to games we generally take the MAX (light rail public transportation system) so we don't have to worry about parking. It is so expensive!
Cute outfit Meg!! Love the dress! The pictures from the game y'all went to are so cute! That is horrible about the parking! After a football game all I typically want to do is go home and relax, I would have been so upset! Looking forward to hearing about the fair! xo
Very chic outfit!
And oh my gosh- what a funny parking story!! I would have been so upset!
Awwwww! You party plan sounds like so much fun! Glad you two can enjoy football together!
Can't wait to hear about your county fair adventures!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Football season, love and hate it all at the same time! Great story!! Love the outfit, super chic!!
Cute!! My dad is a huge Chargers fan since we live in So Cal and there are the only team. In fact, you reminded me - I need to buy tickets today for a game before they sell out :)
That is the best darn game get-up I have seen yet! The players may not even be able to concentrate if you wear that:) Very chic!
i don't even know where to start - i love everything about this fabulous game day outfit!
Awwww, y'all are SO SO cute!! I love college football!
So adorable! I'm loving your gameday outfit, girlie!
Yay Chargers :)
Mannn $300, that's way too painful. At least the Chargers won ;)

ahhhh so envious you went to a Chargers game! I would love to go to one sometime. I heart P Riv since I went to NC State and he is our stud!
Loved this post! As a San Diego girl, it's always fun to see Charger stuff :) My in-laws have been season pass holders forever.... sometimes I'm lucky enough if they let us use the tickets! So fun! Love your blog, girlie! xo
