Happy weekend henning love followers! After my brother, Kip, had his day in the sun on our Mom's blog last Sunday, I couldn't let my brother get all the cuteness so I had to post too! My name is Kimbia Henning, and my name, Kimbia means to run in Swahili.
Little did my parents know when they got me that I would live up to namesake. I am a mix between a Jack Russell and Italian Greyhound and I am currently 1.5 years old. My history is a bit of a sad one but I am incredibly happy now that I live with the Henning's. See when I was six months old, I was dropped off at a shelter in Vegas with my other siblings and my name back that was Heidi. Then my previous owner adopted me, and I came to live with her, her husband and their 2 year old daughter in California. They renamed me to Bree. Unfortunately, the wife and husband were going through a divorce and the mom didn't have enough time to take care of me. So she put me up for adoption on craigslist. Fortunately, then Henning's fell in love with me by my photos, asked to meet me and see how Kip and I would get along. I loved Kip from the moment I saw him, only sibling love here. Kip didn't exactly warm up to me, but to make sure I would be a good match, Kip and I met up three times before the Henning's officially adopted me. So now I am in my third and permanent home and have a third name, Kimbia.
My parents don't know much about my history, I have a few marks ans scraps on my face but I don't focus on that. I focus on how much my new family loves and adores me. I love my new family because my dad takes me out for long trails runs, I go 10 miles with him. I love my new family because they let me curl up with them, my mom calls me a cuddle bug. I just want to show them how grateful I am they adopted me. I am a little scared though because of my history that I will get re-adopted but both my Mom and Dad constantly assure me, I will be with them forever!
Some things about me: last week my Mom woke up in the middle of the night and looked over at me sleeping with my head on my Dad's pillow, we were sharing a pillow and sleeping in the same direction. I am a bit timid when I meet strangers, so I'm sorry if I don't warm up to you at first, I am just a little scared.
I just learned how to give my Mom paw when I am asked and I like to gave "paw" a lot because I want to show my Mom how I know that trick. Also I love when my parents come home and my favorite thing to do is to curl up in their laps :-)
I am a Daddy's girl for sure, I love being around him, I love running with him and I tend to whimper a bit when he is away.
One of my favorite things is playing with my toys, whether it is a rubber disk or a rope. I can throw up that toy in the area and play catch with myself. I can keep myself entertained for hours. I enjoy going to the park and chasing a frisbee and I am jump really long distances.
Thank you henning love readers for letting me tell you more about myself!
Hope you enjoy a few more photos of me :-)

Kimbia, you are blessed to have the Hennings as your forever home. I've talked to Kip before and I know they are incredible parents. It took a while for you but God put you in the best home. I'm sorry you had a rough start. It's all good from here now, friend.
